PROVINCE POLEMARCH'S WELCOME MESSAGE TO BROTHERS

Dear Brothers All:

Province Polemarch BradleyI hope this letter finds you in good health and spirit. I know this fraternal year, our chapters will continue to achieve the level of excellence needed to make the Southeastern Province the flagship of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.

I personally would like to congratulate all of our national award recipients and newly elected Grand Chapter officers from the 78th Grand Chapter Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

As we prepare to embark into the 2007-2008 fraternal year, Grand Polemarch Dwayne Murray has made seven new appointments to the office of Province Polemarch. It is my honor to inform you that effective August 25, 2007, I will be appointed as your 13th Province Polemarch. I am respectfully seeking the support of every brother during my administration to make this a "One Kappa" Province.

I want to thank our Immediate Past Province Polemarch James Freeman for his service and dedication to Kappa. I also want to inform you that within the month, I will be evaluating all current programs and activities to ensure we are within the guidelines of the Kappa's Commitment initiated by Grand Polemarch Murray. Additionally, I would like to conduct an assessment of the Province's strengths and weaknesses and accomplish some administrative management duties before the Charles Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference.

The theme this fraternal year is "Creating Inspiration: A Call To Service". I am establishing a personal accountability agenda that brothers can use to evaluate my performance. Specifically, I intend to do the following:

  • Utilize the various technological methods of communication to keep members aware of issues that affect our Province.
  • Focus on the continuous improvements and effectiveness of the Province's projects, events, and programs.
  • Improve on effective communication with the alumni and undergraduate brothers.
  • Increase the participation of brothers on the National and Province level.
  • Increase the level of chapter participation with the Guide Right program.

I look forward to working with each brother as we strive for excellence, not excuses, in answering the call to serve mankind.
